You Are Loved

I Corinthians 13:12b (AMP)   “. . .I have been fully and clearly known and understood by God.”

And yet He loves me!

Do you feel misunderstood? Do you not understand yourself?  Take heart. God understands.  And that does NOT mean that God has some general, vague conception of your life and circumstances.  That means He understands YOU! Your essence—the very core of your being—is seen and understood by God.

How can God understand you so completely?

  1. He crafted you.  He planned you like a master painter plans a work of art; he crafted you like a best-selling author crafts a story. He carved and molded you like a master sculptor carves and molds a statue.  He is the Master Planer, the Creator of all, and He created you.  Every detail.  The Creator understands the creation.  He understands you.
  2. He loves you. He loves you because He is love, and He understands you because He loves you. When we love deeply, we see past faults; we see past flaws.  When we love, we see motivation; we reserve judgment.  Love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8)

God is love.  Love is His Creation. Love is commitment.  Love doesn’t give up when things are not perfect.  Love keeps going regardless of feelings.  Love IS.

If you feel unloved or misunderstood, remind yourself that feelings often lie.  Speak truth to yourself.  You are loved and understood by God.

Others in your life also love you, but they are not able to love you perfectly because they are not perfect.  And they also have a need to be loved and times of feeling unloved and misunderstood.

Feelings can get us off track.  Set them aside.  Rejoice.  The God of the Universe loves you!  He understands you!  Tell Him the things in your heart and allow His love to comfort and hold you.  His love is True Love.
